I have done numerous searches looking for vc tutorials and only one I saw was for g-max which is a little different from Max 2012.Īll of the tools I'm using are for compiling into a Flight Simulator file from Max (using max 2012).Īfter doing the model in Max 2012, I export it into a X file (PandaSoftX) which will set up the X file for use with the Flight Simulator tools. In Materials, I used the pan1.bmp texture. This is a copy of portion of panel.cfg I did: I've tried "matching" the way I did it in FSDS (which all of my fsds planes with virtual cockpit worked fine). I'm using the SDK for fs2004 with the makemdl files (not the plug-ins). Once I get these to show in the Virtual mode, I can go from there. My main thing I want to do is to put a square box and a square flat background in front of the box (which I've done) to put guages on it. Placing the file in appropriate spot in the Aircraft directory of fs2004, I can get it to show up. ![]() Using Max 2012 32-bit, I can create a model and using Pandasoft X plugin, I can export it, then drag the X file over makemdl.exe and get the mdl file created.
